Ultraviolet (UV) Sterilization

Highly effective water disinfection of microbial pathogens (i.e. bacteria, protozoa, and virus). UV technology is proven to control microbiological issues in water including E.coli, Cryptosporidium and Giardia lamblia.

Disinfect and sterilize water bacteria and viruses

Dangerous microbial pathogens like bacteria, protozoa, and viruses are found in many water sources, especially in rural wells. Our system keeps you continually safe from E.coli, Cryptosporidium, Giardia lamblia and more.

Germicidal maniacs

UV sterilization is proven to kill off the most dangerous bacterias in water and act as a preventative measure for your entire home or business. Bye bye bad germs!

No boil or flush orders

When a boil or flush order is issued because of bacterial or pathogenic contamination, rest assured that your water is clean and safe.

Stay Green

We use Very Green technology that is environmentally safe and non-toxic. UV bulbs are efficient and last a full calendar year.

Tech you can trust

When it comes to UV we use Polaris’ line of products that are scientifically proven and approved.

No maintenance

One UV bulb change every year. That’s all the maintenance you need. The UV system runs continuously and doesn’t need its hand held.

Sized for your needs

With a wide range of sizes and options we can pick out the exact UV system for your water usage and water quality.

Contamination events

In Utah there were 170 “near miss” events in drinking water supplies over the course of a year that included boil orders, chemical spills and severe operational failures. With a Longevity system you can rest easy knowing you are protected from contamination.

Specs

  • The units generate a UV dosage of at least 30,000 microwatt-seconds per square centimeter, even at the end-of-lamp life (EOL), which is more than sufficient to destroy most waterborne microorganisms, such as bacteria, yeasts, algae, etc.

  • Our systems utilize a natural quartz sleeve to protect the lamp and allow the maximum amount of UV rays to penetrate and disinfect the water.

  • Germicidal lamps are specially designed UV radiation lamps producing a rated wave length of 254nm.

  • Sizes range from 10” to 37” depending on the application and water situation.

  • UV disinfection is an effective process for inactivating many microbial pathogens in water with potential to serve as stand-alone treatment or in combination with other disinfectants. USEPA provided guidance on the validation of UV reactors nearly a decade ago.

The system features a polished 304 stainless steel reactor chamber making it suitable laboratory or medical use as well as residential applications.
