Water Softeners

Just a little bit softer now. Actually a lot softer! In Utah the water is so hard most off-the-shelf softeners can’t handle it. We’ve got the softeners to compete with the hardest-of-the-hard water.

Feel the difference of high-quality softening

We don’t sacrifice quality when it comes to our softeners. That’s why our system out-softens, out-tastes, and out-performs our competitors. And no, we’re not sure if “out-tastes” is grammatically correct.

Size matters

To soften effectively, conserve water, and save salt we ensure your system is the right size for your hardness, usage, and water quality.

Built to last

High-quality components, built in the U.S., keep our systems running up to 3-4x as long as the competition. It’s tough to stay soft.

Soft, not slimy

Our high-quality media removes the hardness without the slimy, slippery feel you get from cheaply-made softeners.

40% less salt use

The right components and programming for your water means more efficiency and less salt. Sorry Salt Bae.

Low maintenance

Make sure it has salt. Make sure the clock is right. Make sure the power is on. No unnecessary bells and whistles.

Tastes great

No salty taste because our softeners work the way they should! Plus, you can add our other systems to take the taste to the next level.

Taking on the hardest water in the U.S.

Utah water is rock hard. We commonly see between 14-22 grains per gallon (gpg) total hardness. Levels that high wreak havoc on weaker softeners, but we’ve built ours to withstand the water abuse! Learn more about hard water here.

Specs

  • Our media is high capacity, high quality, gel-type cation resin capable of meeting the most exacting water requirements of your household, farm, or commercial business. Our media is a key component in giving you free-flowing water that is taste and odor free. This is an area where we stand out above the competition. We use the best media out there and add enough to your system to keep you going for decades. Depending on your water situation, we add additional media.

  • Longevity mineral tanks are made of high density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic liner with composite fiberglass filament winding over the liner. We like to use triple-walled tanks. The design provides a continuous seamless inner liner with a glass filled polypropylene inlet for higher strength and pressure capabilities. Essentially, the tank will handle whatever we throw at it.

  • To customize the treatment of your water to handle the removal of contaminants based on your water usage, our control systems are capable of three modes of operation; meter immediate, meter delayed, or time clock delayed. We evaluate your needs at the time of your water test and our manufacturer pre-programs the system to your exact needs. All you have to do is make sure to set the clock!

We also have a double backwash feature if necessary, which offers optimum regeneration, cleaning ability, and efficiency.

  • Capacity is key to softener effectiveness, and Longevity has systems of all sizes for residential or commercial use.

We have 32K, 48K, and 64K systems standard, with options for 80K+ for bigger jobs.

  • Your hard water passes through the media tank that contains resin beads coated with sodium ions and the calcium and magnesium ions are exchanged for sodium (or potassium) ions. When the beads have trapped the hardness and many of the contaminants, the beads need to be regenerated. The control valve charges them with the brine from the brine tank. As regeneration occurs, calcium and magnesium (hardness) ions are freed from the beads and the system is ready to soften water again.
